New Toy
Since being bought a tablet for my birthday from the family in the UK, I've been looking at apps to use for blogging. I was getting quite disappointed with the reviews I've been reading, and as for some strange reason I am not able to get the official Blogger app from Google, I gave Blog away a try, despite some adverse reviews.
The result? Well, I have so far managed to suss out most of it. I'd like to be able to add HTML formatting, and a help section would come in handy for first time users, but other than that, I'm happy so far.

What's wrong with this picture...
A jhadist 'hate preacher' makes a human rights claim, paid for, no doubt, with legal aid, to prevent his deportation because his wife speaks no English.
Yet our government can consider legislation to deny millions their human rights by banning smoking. Will there be, I wonder, claims allowed, paid for by legal aid, against this?...... I think not.

MH370
Much is being made of the search for the plane and many resources are being targetted in the recovery effort, all power to them and good luck. I wonder if behind the scenes research is being carried out to add a GPS locator to the black boxes that will transmit coordinates from greater depth and for longer periods.

First beach walk.
I thought to take a walk along the beach path on the way to work this morning, it was a bit windy, but pleasant. Always a giggle when holidaymakers at the big hotels, sunbathing on the beach or in the gardens give you a funny look because you're wearing jeans and a jacket. When a good portion of the year is in the high 30's/low 40's C. 17C is not that warm. But if you live in Russia, where a lot of our visitors live, 17C must seem quite warm. I have a little smile when I see them swimming in the sea. Brrrr, far too cold just yet.

Daily Mail Fail.
I 'read' the Mail online every day, quite why I'm not sure, maybe 'cause I'm tight and it's free, but I'm constantly amazed by their sensationalism. An article today was about Samantha Cameron's step-brother having a laugh by wearing a dress while on a night out. Many years ago, a mate of mine was told he couldn't get into a club because he was wearing jeans. He did not more than walk back to the other bar and borrowed a 'little black dress' from a girl friend of ours, put it on and returned to the club entrance. The doormen, when they had stopped laughing, had no option but to let him enter, but with the caveat that he could not change whilst inside. We all had one of the best and funniest times that night, and not a papparatzi in sight.
Does this mean that just because the guy has the Prime Minister for his brother-in-law he can't have a life.
Get your acts together papps, this is not news, this is intrusion and you're out of control.
